Early Years
Welcome to Early Years. At St Matthew's Bloxam CE Primary School this consists of our Nursery and Reception Classes.
Mrs Francis is the lead teacher for the Early Years and oversees the Nursery Class, Reception Classes and works with Miss Cartledge (KS1 Lead) ensure a smooth transition from Early Years to KS1.

In the Early Years at St Matthew's Bloxam CE Primary School, we want children to be happy, confident, well rounded individuals who have a love for learning. We believe in providing all children with a safe, stimulating environment with activities that build on each child's needs and interests.
Children should have the opportunity to learn through play. Learning should be fun, engaging and suitably challenging. Learning takes place inside and outside and all adults provide high quality interactions to develop children's learning.
We are committed to providing the best possible start to each child's life, teaching them skills and giving them experiences which will ensure their wellbeing and success now and in the future.
