Summer term 2

We cant believe we are in Summer 2 already! This term our main topics will be animals, holidays and travel and traditional stories. We have turned the homecorner into a Gruffalo cave. It has been very exciting acting out the Gruffalo story in the deep dark wood!. There are some photos below. We are also very excited about our trip to Twycross zoo where we will be looking at lots of interesting animals.

Summer Term 1

The main topic this term is growth. We will be planting our nasturtian seeds and watching them grow. We will also be planting lots of seeds in our garden. Our Forest school sessions have started. Check back here for some photos soon.

Spring term 2

We have made our very own hospital! We have been learning all about the people who help us and have had lots of fun. Take a look at the photos below.

New Term January 2014

This term we will be learning all about Space and Winter. We are building our very own space area and will be exploring all things related to space.

We made some beautiful Winter Collages. The children really enjoyed rolling, painting and sticking. Take a look at the fantastic artwork below. We are really proud of what the children achieved.

We have been busy painting our Kandinsky inspired pictures. We also had a puppet show "Jack and the Beanstalk" by Mr Covington. It truely was a magical experience. The puppets were fantastic!

At the bottom of this page you can see our Building Learning Power leaflet. We have been using Billy the Team Bee to help us collaborate with learning to play games together eg. lotto and colour tallying, help each other if somebody is stuck, work as a team to tidy up, manage our feelings when working with others, solve problems together, adapt our behaviour to different events social situtations and changes in routine, learn the rules and expectations of Nursery. Tony the Tough Tortoise has also  still been helping us to persevere with learning to put on our coats, learning to hold our pencil properly, learning to use the scissors, learning to pour our own drinks and learning to pedal the tricycles. We have been so busy!
